Hi, there! I’m Courtney, a forty-five year old writer, podcaster and stay-at-home mom. I live in Pasadena, California with my husband Nathan, our children Pippa (11) and Julian (78), two hamsters (Coco and Hammy), and some aquatic creatures.
I’m currently in my “healing era” after burning out from volunteering way too much at my children’s school. I’m not longer a room mom. Or on the PTA board. Or doing anything that falls into the department of “organizing and galvanizing” with the exception of my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. I’m still a Girl Scout leader, but we are a chill low-key troop.
I’ve published four books: Adventures with Postpartum Depression: A Memoir; The Distance Learning Activity Book For Parents Just Barely Holding On To Their Last Shred of Sanity; and two novels that are part of The Motherhood Circus series, Confessions of an Imposter Room Mom and its sequel, Once Upon An Anxious Mom. Although I plan to write a third installment for The Motherhood Circus series, I am currently working on my first children’s novel. It involves pirates and Vikings and a miniature golf course.
When I’m not writing or catching up on housework, I’m on a quest to read a book by an author from every country in the world. Or maybe I’m playing tennis, practicing hot yoga, crafting, and gardening. Or binging true crime podcasts while cooking an elaborate dinner (I’m a sucker for a recipe with obscure ingredients and dozens of steps).
